wow. it has been more than a week since the last update so here's a quick catch up on what has been going on before launching into the post proper.
so here's what i have been busy with:
1. school - busy rushing tutorial after tutorial. 6 modules is a stretch and maths is as foreign to me as it was back in my sec 4 and jc days. am i regretting taking the dbl degree? a resounding YES if not for the babes in biz fac. heh.
2. anime watching - finally laid my hands on initial d. and all i can say is that, it is everything i hoped for and more. only pity is that the art is not quite to my liking. nevertheless, mako's sileighty and the s13 in the show have spawned a deep love in me for silvias. -drool- but before i can afford anything like that, a model silvia or a silvia shell for drifting will have to do. now to lay my hands on initial d stage 2!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
3. jamming - kind of anyway. strangely gratifying to pick up a guitar after such a long time. :)
4. tuition - more tuition and more tuition. nuff said.
5. drifting related matters - have managed to change all my battery connectors to deans. set up my car to my personal preference and, bought a proper charger. -grin-
and now for the full drift post;
13/09/06
Location: KAP MacDonalds
Event: J's Bday Drift
me and j headed out to fook hai building and bought our chargers, the tamahzo t15 from singapore hobby supplies (with me sponsoring a portion as a bday gift to him). and then we trudged on into people's park to get our connectors done. after much trouble, we managed to get it all done, only to find out (upon arrival home) that the connection was done wrongly. zzzz. thank god j had the idea of doing tamiya - deans adaptors so the charger is still useable (after double adapting). now to bug rubbish to resolder it for us. moral of story? bring your batt when buying ur charger.
(if you didn't understand the above paragraph, i am quite sure you are not alone)
anyway, armed with proper chargers, we fast charged our batts and decided on an impromptu drift session at KAP, where we were joined by housemartiniz.
this was the line-up

from left:
350z designed after DK's 350 in tokyo drift (driver: j)
black closed headlight trueno (driver: housemartiniz)
blood red lamborghini gallardo (driver: me)
a short plug about the 350z, all patterns on the shell were painstaking masked by j over 3 sleep deprived days and then sprayed over. only decal used was the nissan logo. kudos for nice artwork but more importantly the patience and skill. O.o
here's another pic

all in all, it was night filled with fun, nonsense, fast food and drift action! and before i forget, happy birthday j!!!!!!!
