the national day drift was a raging success. our thanks to all the dudes who turned up. i havent gotten any pics from our team photographer traX yet, so be patient guys. i will post them (soon).
anyway, this was a great drift session. we started out with a sadistic track designed by kido (who is now car-less temporarily). somehow, the fact that he would not be drifting just brings out the punisher in him. -wink-
then our beloved leader housemartiniz made his grand entrance and that was when the party started rocking (or to be more precise eurobeat-ing)!!!! we hooked his ipod up with billy's music and speakers and the experience. mind-blowing. :)
after a few more spills then we cared to have, it was time to change the track!!! the second track was less challenging but loads of fun. best of all, i got my car working near perfect after some minor tweaking. :)
the only downer was this homeless woman who was obviously quite displeased that we had comandeered her "home" and were blasting eurobeats. and she made her displeasure known by muttering behind our backs. out of respect for the elderly, we kept our peace.
with worries about possible sabotage to our track markers, it was time to seek out greener pastures. and that we did once all the batts died. so coming this saturday, we will be revealing what is possibly the best location so far. i cant remember the exact block number so keep your eyes peeled folks, i will be publishing that asap.
and with all that we wrapped up a successful drift night out. pictures will be coming to ur screens shortly. watch out for that.
meanwhile, i hope everyone has a happy national day. i may complain about stuff occasionally; but at the end of the day, this is still a place dear to my heart (thats assuming i have one). so here's to continued growth of Singapore and of course, the westside drift scene.
cheers.
